Maaj Designs offers trendy, bold, fun, and unique modernized African fashion, all our garments are handmade to embrace African culture.
Born and raised in Kenya, Maurine decides to put her love for sewing /creativity into action. being a self-taught sewer, she started by making pieces for friends and family who helped her nature her talent and quench her thirst for threading needles,6 months into it. she felt comfortable as she began getting referrals, she slowly moved from making simple attires to advanced ones.
2014 Maaj designs was born in Mombasa, Kenya, Maurine has been the creative director behind all our creations, having been inspired by beautiful prints, patterns, and color. she nicked named the business “Jungle of vibrant prints and colors”.
In December 2021 Maurine moved to Canada and intends to keep dressing millennials in the diaspora that are proud of their African Heritage, she blends today's fashion to create beautiful pieces.
